About me

I am an Italian journalist with new media skills and a great passion for web and video production. I moved to London to change my career, to find a new and inspiring life project.

Let me tell you a bit about myself. My excellent academic grades show how deeply and seriously I commit myself to my duties. I have previous experiences as on line editor both during under-graduate degree (in Media Studies achieved with top marks with honours) and post-graduate degree (in Journalism achieved with top marks).

Some detail on the educational path. The five-years Media Studies Degree provided me a wide range of cognitions in the communications area. From the more theoretical subjects such as sociology, anthropology, linguistics and semiotics to the more practical principles of Media Law, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, Corporate and Institutional Communication Techniques and SEO strategies, this University course really gave me a solid ground to build on.

After this first university step, I worked as a freelance journalist for several daily newspapers and as a press officer for a Students Union and many cultural events (mainly arts and crafts exhibitions and theatre shows).

In 2007 I decided to go back to university to redefine my skills in the digital media sector. In order to do this, I chose the Suor Orsola University Master's Degree in Journalism, located in Naples (*). This two-years post-graduated course is an exclusive and very selective opportunity to explore every side of journalism applications. Every two years only 25 students are selected to refine their competences and skills. Due to the very wide range of training paths and technical laboratories, on the second year each student is called to choose an area of interest. I chose Digital Media and Video Applications, following courses on SEO strategies and learning how to use several video and audio editing softwares. This post-graduated course offered me the chance to get I touch with national papers editors and very well-known journalists.

As a freelance journalist, I have written on politics, current affairs, entertainment, theater and culture for on line magazines and daily papers. Those experiences were the basis on which I have set the ground for my last job as on line and video editor for a regional news website that runs a free bi-weekly paper. In the last year I have therefore coordinated the biweekly support with its on line edition (*), organising contributors work, setting up the agenda, editing articles for both paper and web, drawing the mockup for the design people, improving the SEO strategy. I love video production and I shoot and edit short docs and video news.

In 2009 I passed the exam to register to the Italian National Association of Journalists.

I am passionate about communication and I love to work as a part of a team. I hope you can consider my candidacy because I am a very hard working person, very confident and very much results driven. So, if you are looking for a media professional eager to do great things and not only to survive the daily routine, please take a look at my cv and call me back.
