To Whom It May Concern at Feme,

I am applying for the role of Junior Writer because I would like a key editorial role which will allow me to have an input on content. I love hair and beauty and have always been interested in new products which will enhance my appearance. I would also like to be part of a lucrative and growing industry as hair extensions receive a huge interest due to celebrities.

I have great writing skills which I have gained from an MA in Magazine Journalism at Cardiff Journalism School. I am specifically trained in news and feature writing, online writing, subbing and social media. Alongside this, I have a knowledge of content management systems such as Wordpress as well as SEO and InDesign. Overall my masters has given me the ability to produce accurate and engaging content to incredibly tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

I have wide editorial and administrative experience gained at publications such as Marie Claire, Prima, Now and Star. During these placements I assisted editorial teams, helped out on photoshoots, conducted research for Now magazine's beauty pages, wrote online features at Marie Claire, liaised with PRs and helped to manage social media platforms.

I am suitable for this role because I am a strong writer and have great organisational skills.
