Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to express my interest in the position of Account Executive, job reference LR14, found via creativepool.co.uk. As you can see from my CV, I have recently graduated from the University of Glasgow with a First Class Honours degree in Psychology, and have been working as the Brand Executive for As You Like It Holidays. Psychological research is applicable in every industry, but the opportunities within advertising to take a chance and act on current research is hugely exciting and appeals to my creative interests, thus I'm looking for a challenging position as an Account Executive.

Enthusiastic, sociable and capable, I am an individual committed to excellence, demonstrated by my achievements in both academia and as an elite dinghy sailor. I am more than competent in computer literacy, and my academic and teaching background demonstrates my ability to handle large amounts of information, communicating ideas either in writing or in person to a high standard of quality. I have extensive experience working alongside talented professionals of differing vocations, and enjoy working as part of a team. Moreover, through leadership roles in student societies and professional environments I have developed excellent administration and problem solving skills and the ability to manage professional relationships. In addition, my organisational skills are superb given their necessity in allowing me to successfully balance sailing, academia and other projects from an early age which will allow me to be an asset as an Account Executive.

As the Brand Executive of a burgeoning travel company, the flexibility and freedom to pursue creative ideas I have been allowed in this post has cemented my determination to succeed in an industry which values innovation as well as a determined and enthusiastic work ethic. Additionally, I've learned how to present creative ideas and innovative solutions with confidence and persuasion, write eye-catching press releases, develop professional relationships with designers and manage a team of interns.

This position is very appealing as I am passionate about the dynamic field of advertising, and I can assure you that my experience, adaptability and track record to date will make me a valuable Account Executive.
