I think I would be a great fit for this role. I have a passion for digital media combined with 10 years' professional experience in producing web content and an educational background in multimedia technology, communication and journalism.
Why I want this job:
- I'm creative and enjoy coming up with inventive ways of catching the audience online. I also like that you can measure the success of a banner or a landing page instantly and see how small design changes can make a huge impact.
- I'm curious about new web technologies and have a big passion for digital media and the various possibilities it offers people to interact and engage with a brand.
- I'm eager to learn and getting hands-on numerous tasks in a project. Plus I love the satisfying feeling you get when you have completed a successful project together.
Why I would fit this role:
- Quick problem solver: I'm confident and find out quickly who to contact in order to solve an issue. I'm organised and tend to spot the simple solution rather than the time consuming option for operational processes.
- Great at dealing with people: I'm diplomatic and show respect for a designer's work but I 'm not afraid to say when I think something should be changed. In that case I always make sure to explain why and I also give concrete suggestions for how they could do it.
- Excellent communication skills: I don't complicate things and communicate effectively by being straight to the point with focus on the essentials to drive a project forward.
- A good sense of humour and design: I often have a lot of ideas for a story that could be quirky and witty with a humouristic twist. I also have an eye for design and strong understanding of UI/UX principles. In my current job I write all design briefs and provide creative ideas for engaging flash banners and video content. Right now I'm driving a video project telling the story about two web site members who met in the chat room and got engaged.
- Broad digital knowledge: With my multimedia background I have good understanding of each part in a project. My hands on experience with video editing, Photoshop, Flash and web technologies are an advantage when taking decisions about what option to use. Having the practical knowledge in these areas is also beneficial when liaising with developers, video editors and designers.
I really like my current job, but after four years I have reached the point where I'm ready and eager to take on new challenges. This sounds exactly like the kind of challenge I'm looking for and would feel passionate about.
