About me

Born and bought up in India, Anjali always had a keen interest in photography from a very young age of thirteen. Whilst she was in high school, she started learning and taking photographs of her mates for their social media platforms to refine her skills. After finishing high school, she moved to London for Wimbledon College of Arts for her orientation course and then continued for her foundation in photography from London College of Communication UAL. There, she explored her interest and field of photography and applied to University for the Creative Arts, Rochester for B.A (Hons) Fashion Photography.

Her work often refers to the tradition and culture she has been raised up with. Her work juxtapositions the two of western and Indian culture by bringing and portraying the sensitive subjects which were taboo in India but was openly accepted in England. She hybrids documentary style with fashion photography in her work. Her work also consists of high-end fashion images and tests around with studio lights with gels. Alongside, she also creates and directors editorial, fashion and documentary films.

She also studied at Massachuttes College of Arts in Boston for a semester as an exchange student in her second year. She interned under Indian Bollywood photographer Sameer Belvalkar. In her time with Sameer, she further crafted her skills in-studio lights and on set environment.

Currently, she is working under renowned fashion photographer Ram Shergill and will be attending London College of Fashion UAL on September 19 for her master's degree in fashion photography.
