About me

I am writing to you as I am interested in a job in Events/Spatial Designer. I have completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Event Management with Public Relations, Eco Events and Wedding Planning and prior to this, completed my Bachelors Degree in Event Management and Marketing. Both courses are intensive modules which have provided me with the training and understanding of the complex and dynamic needs of the events industry. I am hoping to pursue a career in the engaging Event Management sectors. My interest in this sector has developed due to my growing awareness of the world's marketing sales division and its subsequent effects on the business environment. I have experienced different industries particularly due to the textile family business we own in Casablanca, Morocco. I have participated in communicating with magazines and firms to promote our brands, Keito and Lee Cooper. Additionally, I have also aided in hosting many sponsored events to raise our brand awareness, such as one particular one held in Marrakech with DJ Deep Dish. Additionally, I have also taken part in various internships in the Weddings event management industry, in order to further focus on the broad spectrum of my major. I am an open-minded, creative and organized individual who is in search of challenging opportunities to expand on my skill set and knowledge base. I have strong numeric and verbal skills. This further accentuates my ability to work under pressure, which I believe is an essential asset to have when striving to work in this industry. I am always punctual, inquisitive and proactive, and strive to do the best. I have excellent communication skills as I speak several languages fluently which include English, French, Arabic and a little bit of Spanish and Hindi; these are essential in understand the different players in the multicultural world. I am also confident in IT especially in creating spreadsheets and databases utilizing Microsoft Excel and presentations facilitated by PowerPoint. Throughout my Bachelors degree, strong emphasis has been put on team work and presentations as well as intense research about companies and competitors. I have done many designs for events such as floor planning, seating arangements, weddings cards, logos, etc. I hope that this statement and my C.V. show me to be a highly driven and motivated individual; one who is accustomed to pushing herself to deliver standards that are beyond what is expected. I believe that my strong organisational and team working skills combined with my fervour for this industry make me an ideal candidate for the job.
