About me

Creative innovator and a seeker of elegance, over the last two decades Jussi has been the driving force in creating ground breaking kinetic artworks, computational design and innovation in spatial interaction at ART+COM Studios, most recently as Creative Director and member of the management board.

Hands-on designer and hacker at heart, but managing cross-disciplinary teams and keeping the boat afloat, he thrives working with people: The mystique of a genius is an emergent property of well-oiled team at work.

Behind the artistic and spatial communication manifestations of the studio, Jussi has served to write, acquire and direct numerous research grants keeping the studio at the forefront of critical technological innovation and spatial expression.

In parallel, professor Ängeslevä has ran the New Media Class at Berlin University of the Arts in various roles, currently as honorary professor, bringing the hands-on industry experience and funding to the boundary-breaking and transformational academic endeavour. He has shared this mentality also as a visiting professor at Royal College of Art and China Academy of Arts.

In academia, industry or as an independent artist, Jussi strives for works that combine deep technological understanding, reflection on societal impact and embodied aesthetic elegance. his work has been awarded by NESTA, D&AD, BAFTA, ADC, Prix Ars Electronica, Cannes Lions and others.
