Design is not about pretty pictures or the 'trend' colour. It is about the balance between beauty, function and simplicity while taking business goals and objectives into play. Whether it be a start up company's initial brand concept, a website redesign for a medium size company looking for larger customers or a charity sending their message through print... there is a function for every pixel, image and colour to push a message or feeling across.
I have been working in the design industry for over 15 years, working in both web and print media. I started my career in Boston working for branding and advertising agencies doing everything from logos through to print and web. Once moving to the UK, I was the Design Manager at Opodo for several years and moved on to be the Head of Design at ITV when they relaunched their website in 2007. Since then I have been working as a freelance Creative Director.
