About me
I joined the Central Office of Information in August 2002 as an Account Manager working in their Content Team on a number of high profile department campaigns.
Within 18 months of joining COI I was promoted to Senior Project Manager where I lead a team of 6 x Information officers responsible for a wide range of campaigns and publications across a number of high profile government departments DH, Cabinet Office, DECC, Defra, FCO, DFT, Electoral Commission, RAF, and Army to name but a few.
In May 2005 I was appointed lead project manager on 'The Bloody Sunday Inquiry' working with Lord Saville of Newdigate (inquiry author) the largest single author publication in COI's 66 year history. During this period I had to gain the trust and respect of Lord Saville, his team of lawyers, as well as the Inquiry secretariat as previously there had been some process issues, hence why I was brought in to lead the COI team to deliver. During the publication process I project managed the design, typesetting, proofreading, print production as well as the online production process all under the strictest security levels. I also had to manage the delivery expectations of the Northern Ireland Office and the Labour minister for NI at that time Shaun Woodward as to the publication date as there was enormous pressure to publish under the Labour Government at that time.
I have proven strong track record in the line management of my team and suppliers which is reflected in my previous performance appraisals and as a result two of my Information Officers gained promotion to SIO level whilst working under my remit. I have always given a lot of emphasis on team work and team building as I believe this is key to ensuring our clients and stakeholders are happy with the service they receive and will be confident in using our resources again in the future.
Due to the current government austerity measures COI ceased trading earlier this year which means I am available to take up a new post with immediate effect.
Please find attached my up to date cv and of course let me know if you require any additional information at this stage.
Kind regards
Andy
