About me
An energetic and passionate designer, I have had tuition and practical experience in a variety of creative disciplines including motion graphics, graphic design, advertising, Illustration, film and web design, I have the ability to work with a multi-disciplinary approach and select as many different tools as appropriate in order to arrive at the best possible solution in a professional timeframe.
I developed my technical aptitude and passion for moving image design during an exchange year at Ryerson University in Toronto. Toronto's creative energy was exhilarating and the experience as a whole was both personally and creatively liberating.
With my disciplined approach to time and resource management, I can present information effectively both verbally and visually. I am confident in proposing and explaining my ideas and am comfortable with constructive criticism of my own work. I have developed a sense of independence and responsibility towards my own practice through tackling several freelance projects (see below), and strengthening my teamwork skills through collaborative work.
Although I have a signature style, I prefer to primarily develop the concept to the fullest using my own way of ordering information and often, where appropriate, my work will carry an underlying sense of humour.
I derive my inspiration from a variety of sources within the field of art and design as well as drawing reference from other less obvious places. I feel that it is this diversity and resourcefulness that makes me a versatile and imaginative designer.
I am highly skilled in using After Effects, Photoshop & Illustrator, and proficient with Dreamweaver, Flash and Adobe InDesign.
