About me

I am a recent university leaver, studying a three year BAHons degree in photography and digital arts at Thames Valley University. I started out doing photography in my early teens as a simple hobby but since then it has progressed into a full time, lifelong passion to work in the field, and live the 'dream'. I get my energy and enthusiasm for working in photography from the simple fact of working in a job field I love and the constant desire to improve my photographic skills to the next plateau, to out do my previous work (we are our own worst enemy). I have a calm and relaxed demeanour, and find myself not panicking but instead thinking through logically what needs to be done and then acting upon it. I used to work in traditional photography and still occasionally dip my hands into the film to prevent me from going rusty, but I have moved into the digital field now. Because of this I have a strong understanding and experience of digital cameras, equipment, digital files, editing, printing and uploading. I am competent in both Mac and PC operating systems, and their software like Photoshop. I am constantly playing with Photoshop, which may look like a waste of time, but is in fact me pushing my skills further and honing them. I have also worked as a freelance photoshop re-toucher for the company 'Packshot Factory'. I have had work experience in the photography field by working with a local photographer as his assistant. I also work freelance in music photography.
