About me

A gregarious and passionate creative with core skills in live television and radio broadcasting, as well as corporate, documentary and drama production.

Andrew has been a film-maker from the moment he could hold a video camera.

Beginning with stop motion animation using jointed Lego models, marionettes, plasticine and toy trains, at 8 years old his fascination with the media was further cemented when TVS Television filmed the children's TV series 'Mr Majeika' in the village where he lived.

Hours of short films made throughout his childhood (shot and edited on VHS, VHS-C, S-VHS, Video 8, Hi-8, Digital 8, Beta SP, U-matic, DV, DV-Cam, with post production on Amiga 600, 1200, Truespace, Cinema 4D, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Media 100, Cool Edit Pro/Audition, Avid & Final Cut Pro) prove his passion for creating something from nothing knows no bounds and he turned his hobby into his career.

Graduating in 2001 with a BA (Hons) in Video Production & Animation, he immediately began his freelance career working for BBC Radio Kent and Big Finish Productions.

Now with over 10 years professional experience in live broadcasting and video production (currently a Senior Operator and Director with BBC South East as well as being CEO of his own production company, Gingersnap Media Limited) he is extremely adept at working with teams both large and small on all kinds of projects.
