Dear Sir/Madam,
Hello my name is Andrew Wood. I'd like to put myself forward for consideration on the job position of 'Creative Video/Motion Designer'.
I have been working in publishing for over two and half years at Tide Mill Media in Woodbridge as a 'Creative Digital Designer' and was involved in several different practices within the company. This includes 2D and 3D content creation for children's books, apps and animations. I have had my illustrations published in an independently published children's book as well as cover artwork for a branded series of books. I have also produced work for 'Disney', specifically for the Latin American area. I have created storybook apps and taken them from concept through to publication. However the majority of my time with this company was spent producing art assets and animated videos for promotion and presentation as well as children's story videos targeted at schools for national distribution. This included sales and advertisement videos for our products. Using Audition and After Effects I was responsible for creating all our video content from storyboard,concept, design, composition, sound editing to final render.
While I was at university and through my current job I have used a variety of programs from the Adobe suite and have become quite proficient in their use. At university I studied 3D character and environment design which involves modelling texturing and animating 3D assets from characters to every day objects. as well as visual effect elements for use in video editing.
I have always prided myself on creating work of a high standard and am very willing to continue to grow and learn new techniques which I can use in my work. I believe I can be a valuable asset to your company.
