About me
I am a passionate Graphic Designer - chock-full of ideas, innovation and creativity. Always willing to learn and explore new avenues of design, I am exceptionally keen to jump feet first into any exciting design challenge. My most recent full-time design role was working full time as Head of Design in an online advertising company Urban Maps (*). However, I have since moved to Japan and in my spare time (albeit sparse), I carry out freelance Graphic Design, Illustration and Photography work.
I graduated from University of Wales (UWN) in 2005 with BA (Hons) in Graphic Design, jumping straight into a Junior Graphic Design role for eight months (*). Ever zealous to acquire more skills in the creative sector, I joined a highly successful magazine (*) and became a Photo Journalist for more than two years. I have strong creative and organizational skills - moreover, I am exceptionably accustomed to multi-tasking and working well under pressure and to strict deadlines.
I pride myself in having acute attention to detail and strong literal and lateral creative ideas. I am ever the hardworking individual and am always the first to jump in and get my hands dirty, at any obstacle I am faced with.
When I am not getting my teeth stuck into the Adobe Creative Suite, I can often be found pounding the drums for my band in Kichijoji, learning Japanese, taking pretty photographs, or trying to keep fit playing squash, swimming or jogging.
If you like what you see, please get in touch!
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
Andrew Smith
