About me

Andrew Meyer has had a diverse career as an educator, entertainment industry executive, author, and film producer.
He served as the President of A&M Films, founded by Herb Alpert and Jerry Moss; Wildwood Productions, established by Robert Redford; and Act All Productions, created by Norman Lear.
Among the many films he has produced, notable titles include FRIED GREEN TOMATOES, which received two Academy Award nominations; THE BREAKFAST CLUB, celebrating its 40th anniversary this year; and BRING ON THE NIGHT, which won a Grammy Award and starred Sting. Other significant films he produced include BIRDY, which won the Grand Prix Special Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival, and the iconic cult classic BETTER OFF DEAD.
Mr Meyer is a Professor Emeritus from the Savannah College of Art and Design. He is currently the Artist-in-Residence at the Idyllwild Arts Foundation.

Mr. Meyer recently published his second book, WALKING IN THE FAST LANE: STORIES OF A LIFETIME, which is available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and in bookstores around the world.
He launched a podcast series, THE MEYER CHRONICLES, which shares stories from his life and is available on Apple Podcasts.
