For the past 13 years, I have run my own design and supply packaging company supplying household names to cottage industries.
I have a wealth of experience in Lithography and Flexography printing, having done 2 years in "print recognition" at Matthew Bolton Collage .
I also trained in Pira, a range of courses (11) from "Paper and board manufacturing" to Print methods, ie Offset lithography , Flexography and Gravure .
With Strong ideas,leadership and team working skills. Good communication, negotiating and influencing skills.
You can see from the above that I have a sound Knowledge of products, the processes,manufacturing from both board grades to CTP
Running my own business, meant I wasn't tied to a single supplier. I could supply customer with a vast array of packaging materials and formats including both rigid box and lids, clamshells and hinged lids,
window patching .
Quite often the customer came to me, when the product itself was still in the early stages of development,
and assesing a unique packaging and innovative ideas was often the key element that won me the business.
I discuss with customers and obtain the full information to quote ( for example to chose either "Machine varnish", "Gloss varnish" and "UV Varnish"dependant on the finish and market)
The number of colours required (ie 4 colour process or bespoke colours).
Some customers had a set budget and I had to design around that, trying to give them the most dynamic packaging at a low cost
(for example embossing or de bossing on the POS or Header card to pronounce the artwork) .
During my career I have worked for manufacturers and have worked with most machines in the process of manufacturing, this helps me know what machines are capable of,
and whether they can produce the carton the customer is after (for example length to width on crash locks Fefco 0713).
I feel that I have the necessary qualities that you are looking for, combined with 20+ years experience in the business.
