About me
During my time studying Graphic Information Design at the University of Westminster I learnt the importance of juggling projects, meeting strict deadlines and engaging myself in projects. Throughout this course the extensive lectures in typography, visual representation and technical tools helped me develop my design knowledge to a point where I feel I have a lot to offer a company. I was a student representative for my course which included liaising with tutor's, course leaders and students. I was involved in considering how to move the course forward and discussing the relevance of design to future students at open days. This also included helping lower level students with technical solutions and design problems.
In 2005 I was given the opportunity to take part in a work experience project for the BBC. This started as a competition in which over a hundred students applied. I, along with two other students, won and created a piece of design which incorporated time, music and geography to show how music genres influence others genres across the world. I was heavily involved in the creation of the idea, the research and the producing of the final product. This project taught me about the relationship between a designer and their client and how to work under pressure, something I feel university alone could not teach.
I believe I would prove to be hard working, up for any challenge and a positive member of the team.
