About me

My background is in fine art and visual communication. The cultural
environment in which I grew up is definitely very diverse and dynamic,
and emphasizes the need for a traditional foundation, allowing further
assimilation of modern elements in an organic and natural way. This
helped me better incorporate the experiences I had after graduating
college, when I left to the US and worked as a freelance graphic
designer for a year. I spent my free time taking multimedia classes,
doing voluntary work and developing photography skill. I have
particularly enjoyed working on multimedia projects, trying to involve
viewers in complex visual and interactive experiences.
I am currently undertaking a Masters in Book Illustration at
Cambridge School of Art, following a passion that I discovered in the
recent years. This program will help me better understand power of the
image in this context and exploit the image quality and the way in
which association between words and pictures becomes an even more
powerful medium for transmitting information in the process of
education.
In addition to my studies, I would like to continue working in a
design environment. I have experience in a variety of computer
languages and packages, but also traditional medium, stated in detail
in my resume.
