About me
Ana Sondesa hails from Spain. More specifically, a small town in the North. Sounds nice doesn't it
Which is why she moved to Valencia, home of paella, partying and a rather good Art School. It was here that Ana really learnt to draw. She liked drawing goats, unicorns and deer. And she still does (well, goats are pretty cool). Anyway, not content with 5 years at Art School, she went to London to study some more. This time at St. Martins.
And that was that, she became an illustrator. She has worked with Usborne, Hachette, Scholastic, Yoyo, Carlton, Lerner and publishers all around the world. She is passionate about creating visually appealing, bright and funny children's artwork featuring lots of cute animals and happy colours. Definitely not a taupe or beige kind of person.
Apart from being an illustrator, she is a keen traveller. She loves records, fleamarkets, cheese and life in general. Yellow is her colour and her fave dino is triceratops. Parasaurolophus comes second.
After living in Athens, London, Dublin, Bristol, Manchester and a bunch of places, she returned to sunny Valencia where she flatshares with Bob the aren't any goats or deer and certainly no unicorns, but she's just as happy.
