Dear Sir or Madam,
I have read with great interest the Junior Designer/Art worker position available at Eden Marsh and would like to apply for this role. It would be a pleasure to work for you and your team.
I am currently an undergraduate student in my final year studying Graphic Design & Illustration at the
University of Hertfordshire, with a keen interest to pursue a career in the design industry.
I have experience in freelance work, receiving briefs from charities, musicians, as well as designing and
illustrating my own children's books for projects at University. I thoroughly enjoy working on live briefs as it allows me to be creative with how I solve the brief and I get to add my own personal touch to the project, which makes it unique. I have also worked as part of a graphic design team for the events company Visual Response Ltd, where I gained experience in creating brochures for upcoming events, as well as developing my knowledge in my software skills.
As well as having design experience, I have excellent experience in customer service. Previously I have been employed by Next Retail, LEGOLAND Resort Windsor, and the University of Hertfordshire, where I have excelled in communicating with the public as well as confidently being able to lead and work as part of a team. Working across these employers has enabled me to communicating with different age groups, in which I am able to use my initiative and tailor my approach to the specific age group.
I take great pride in all my work, ensuring it is completed to the best of my ability, to the very last detail. I bring passion and enthusiasm to every task I am given.
I am dedicated, reliable, and eager to learn more in order to develop myself as a creative individual. My strengths lie in working as a team, being a strong communicator and listener, and managing my time well in order to reach my goals.
My career goals are to continue to grow as a designer and to utilize my skills and knowledge well in my work environment.
