About me

My nationality is Greek and I was born in Brussels. Having a foundation course in art and design my aim was to pursue art as a living. After careful consideration, even though I strived to follow my passion for the artistic side of art I decided to gain knowledge from a theoretical perspective of Advertising, Marketing Communications and Media studies at London Metropolitan University.

After obtaining fundamental knowledge from both aspects of my courses I was keen to find a master that combined both elements of my precedent years. I was able to discover which areas of study will best meet my needs, aspirations and abilities providing me with a broad base of tools and skills for my further specialisation. The deep involvement that I had with all types of art and business tools guided me to think about what I would like to achieve in the future and decided to do a master in Creative Advertising at Edinburgh Napier University.

Looking at my work achievements, especially during the last year of my master degree, I am in a position to turn my knowledge into a career in Advertising either as an Art Director, Account or Creative.

My thrive and thirst for this domain made me take the responsibility to work as an Account Trainee at ARC Worldwide in Greece, part of Leo Burnett Group and furthermore as an “Observer” at Publicis Consultants in Athens. By delivering fresh and innovative ideas I had the opportunity to expand several projects by developing and creating the final presentations. Specifically, during my training at Leo Burnett, I became familiar with their client Diageo and worked for Johnnie Walker Red Label's promotion integrated platform. Furthermore, during my training at Publicis Consultant, even though being part of the PR consultancy, I became confident with basic Press Office functions.

I believe that my communication, presentation and creative skills are what shape me as a successful person. I am a determined and hard worker, as I want to achieve a satisfactory result in order to be able to form a descent future career. Working on projects has helped me develop confidence in my ideas and allowing the work to lead me.

Overall, my drive is to be in a position to understand, assess and evaluate other people's opinions and ideas, which are often hindered by lack of communication. I aim to understand how information and creativity reaches people and how the medium that facilitated its delivery can affect the individual's interpretation.
