In the past few years I have strived for building a broad skill set that I believe make me a well rounded professional in media, advertising, and communication. I have combined both academic preparation and on the job training. I have developed a three-pronged profile combining communication and editing, art and production, and management and marketing in media.

In my undergraduate degree back in Colombia, I focused on developing solid foundations for communication and editing. More recently in the Masters in Image and Communication from the University of London I specilized in photography as I wanted to build up my ability to produce high-quality graphic content. Finally, to acquire more managerial and marketing knowledge for the media industry I pursued a Masters in Publishing at the London College of Communication. I have accompanied this process by relevant professional experience.

Lately I have worked on the edition of 1883, a recently-launched magazine. The experience at this strat-up company has been a fantastic learning experience, and I have been able to actively participate in determining what the final product looks like. At Profusion, I have been in touch with e-mail marketing but my work has focused more on supporting the graphic image of the firm. More specifically, I put together the marketing material used when pitching clients.

On the production side I worked in Colombia as a photography producer at Sancho-BBDO, one of the most prestigious advertising agencies worldwide and the biggest one in my country. There, I coordinated and produced photographic work and television material for important advertising campaigns. Furthermore, I have also worked independently producing graphic material for a wide range of purposes and for a variety of institutions and people. In summary, I believe that I have been able to cultivate communication, coordination, and production skills along with a high aesthetics sense and technical graphic design skills that I make me a strong candidate for the position.
