About me

I am an experienced writer and editor, with twelve years worth of experience of writing for both the web and magazines. My last position was as online editor of a parenting and education website, and I was responsible for writing, editing and commissioning all content for the website. I was also responsible for managing all social media, including Twitter, Facebook and the online forums (for which I won an award), as well as writing a weekly ezine for the readers. All of these activities ensured that MyChild had a consistent "voice" across all platforms. Previous to this role, I worked as a copywriter for a media and marketing consultancy and a copywriting agency, SEO'ing everything I touched, while keeping it eminently readable, of course. I wrote long and short copy for websites, including product descriptions for ecommerce sites, as well as writing other marketing materials including press releases, letters, leaflets, marketing information packs, blogs, and Twitter and Facebook updates. I have also worked as an assistant editor and as a freelance feature writer for print magazines for a number of years.
