To Whom this may concern,

I would like to use this covering letter to explain to you why I would love to be considered for the Junior Designer position. I Graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University in June 2013 with a (BA) Hons degree in Design.

Whilst I was at university I won the 2013 Pro2Pac student sustainable packaging prize. The prize was given to a student who had a clear understanding of branding, high level of graphical skills and an innovative product. The product itself was my very own origami design, which was made by woven recycled paper to create a spice shaker (shown on my website I have attached to this application). The whole experience helped to showed me that graphics, concepts and craft is an area of design I have a huge passion for.

I already have experience working as a graphic design intern and a design assistant. The Production, art-working process, concept development and dealing with clients are something that I have experience with and also including the knowledge I gained from studying design.

I am very hands on and love working in both 2D and 3D areas in Design, with confident knowledge of all Adobe programs. Whilst working as a design assistant one of my main duties was creating the new products and photographing/editing them for the website.
