About me

Just a highly ambitious, wildly passionate writer living in a sleepy coastal city. 2019 marked my final year of tertiary studies at Vega School of Brand Leadership in Durban, majoring in copywriting.

I am fiercely passionate about women, the environment, being authentically yourself and about my writing craft. I have a deep respect for the advertising world and I love learning more and more about how brands can, and do, change the world. My hobbies include poetry, reading, writing (obviously), film and anything creative.

I showcased my portfolio at the Woolworths Student Portfolio Day as part of Loeries Creative Week 2019. I am currently writing and curating a selection of my own poetry, with the goal of hopefully self-publishing at some point in the future. I have also showcased original poetry at Community art gallery in Durban and at the AFDA Film Festival. I was lucky enough to bag a Gold Loerie in the student category for publication design at the 2019 Loerie Awards, with my team members Roxanne Schoon and Justine Clyde. At the end of my final year of studies I was awarded the top copywriting student in my degree for 2019. I was also placed 7th by The Loerie Awards in their 2019 rankings of top creative students in Africa and The Middle East.
