About me

A creative and ambitious graphic designer and computer nerd.

I graduated in 2010 and have since dedicated my life to expanding my working portfolio and experience in the field.

My main area of expertise being functional and effective, branding and identity design.

I have also had great success in the print & signage industry, in 2011 becoming part of a team of highly skilled designers in a large design & print company.

Since being made redundant in January I have remained focused on my journey and, aswell as working as a freelance designer, have expanded my skills into further areas such as 3D modelling.

- Extensive knowledge of Adobe CS5 based on Mac and Windows (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) including knowledge of Flash, Dreamweaver, HTML., - Thorough knowledge and experience of Quark Xpress (Mac and Windows)., - Extensive knowledge of digital and lithographic print process., - Organised, adaptable, excellent work ethic, strong time management and interpersonal skills., - Results and detail-orientated., - Has the ability to solve problems innovatively and creatively to produce unique, interesting and effective outcomes., - Works very productively in a team with strong leadership skills and can work independently with minimal direction., - Strong technical IT skills across Mac and Windows including software and hardware upgrades, repairs, formatting etc.

Sector Experience

Currently working freelance in branding and design for print - seeking temporary or permanent employment., Graphic Designer, 20-20 Graphics, Working as part of a small design team. Managing multiple projects and working to tight deadlines. Working to customer specification and using creative initiative. Preparing work for print through digital and lithographic process including proof reading, outputting to post script and to plate in Apogee, checking plates for inconsistencies, print time and stock management. Includes process of metallic, spot colour etc., Lead Graphic Designer, Bespoke Signage, Communicating professionally with clients including organisation of meetings and briefings, designing logos, posters, window graphics, vehicle graphics and complete signage to specification.
