About me

I am Amira El Sharkawi, an MA Filmmaking graduate from Goldsmiths, University of London with a specialisation in Producing and to date the short films I produced were featured in many film festivals.

I also have professional experience that include working as a 2nd AD/PA in a feature film starring Michael Madsen. Before that I worked as a TV Producer at JWT, a multinational ad agency where I produced ads such as Vodafone, Renault, KitKat. In addition, I co-produced a docu-drama for the Egyptian Tourism Authorities.

Other experience include working as a PA at Dan Films, a UK film production company where I organised a teaser screening for a film at the 2010 Berlin Film Festival. I also analysed and compiled reports on new script submissions, assisted in all pre-production and managed admin work.

I also worked as an AP and Production Coordinator in Final Cut Film Production, Egypt. I worked in many roles as casting, wardrobe, locations, art direction, scheduling and bookings of both travel and post houses.

In my career I have acquired communication and organisational skills in busy high-pressured environments that require fast and effective problem solving abilities. All the roles required meticulous attention to detail. My experience coupled with my training in two TV Talk Shows provide me with the qualifications needed to establish myself at your company.
