About me

Hi there,

Currently I'm working at the British Heart Foundation on a maternity cover. I am very interested in the Assistant Email Marketing Manager position you are offering as I think it represents a good opportunity.

My past roles as reflected in my CV have included a variety of duties which I think is a very suitable match to the role you are currently offering:

- Planning email campaign schedule which involved liaising with various departments both internal/external and advising best practice for email marketing e.g. suggesting amendments for copy or email post schedulings.

- Writing content for weekly and monthly e-newsletters for Heart Matters Magazine (a BHF health supplement with a nationwide circulation) and Business Monitor (who distribute B2B business reports spanning all sectors/countries).

- Devising and executing campaigns strategies to very particular/specific requirements. Certain setups involved me utilising internal 1st/3rd party data segment pools, targeting specific whitelisted individuals male or female across certain geographies/regions.

- Before the setting up a campaign live I've been expected to test subject lines, times of sending and also personalisation. For example, I was once involved in setting up triggered emails for ASK (a popular restaurant chain). Frequent reporting of the email campaigns were needed frequently as it was necessary to ensure maximum performance and optimise delivery for each campaign.

- I have also been in production, and I have had the experience of working with several CMS system such as Abacus, Alfresco and SiteCore to upload and manage content on websites. I know how to use HTML efficiently, as well as basic Photoshop and InDesign.

I do very much believe I have all the necessary skills that are required for the role. I pride myself as a very quick learner and I am always keen to stay on board with new technology in its rapid evolution. Working to tight deadlines is something I'm used to and I don't have any problems with working additional hours if required.

Although my native language is English, having grown up in South Africa, I also possess a native speaking level of Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese. I also very much enjoy working as part of a team and am always up for a laugh.

I know that there are still plenty of skills for me to learn and develop, and I am more than happy to continue learning and progressing.

Reference available on request. I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Amily Chang
