About me

I am an artist, designer and creative problem solver. My career journey has been both exciting and disappointing, but worthwhile nonetheless, as I know I made the most of every role. I am now looking for a career I know I can progress in and continue to develop my skills gained from life experiences, university and my entrepreneurial journey too. I have a lot to offer in terms of innovative, practical and strategic thinking and hope I can contribute to an organisation worth developing in. I am incredibly ambitious and have an honest plan to achieve my goals for the next year as well as reviewing my 5 year plan in light of current circumstances.

Although I am constantly seeking knowledge and have a first class degree, I would say my biggest strength lies in my interpersonal skills and networking, proven by my connections during my entrepreneurial journey on the side. Although I see my failures as opportunities to learn and overcome them to add to my skillset, my current weakness is the need to understand the purpose behind a task before I put in 110%. This is not to say I am not hardworking, as I am very driven. I am just aware that passion is the source to a successful career, not just a vague interest with skill.

I have done a fair amount of public speaking in front of audiences as large as 400 at both global and local level. I spoke for WIRED: Next Generation where there is a recording available and often deliver workshops of 100 students on average for a social enterprise teaching entrepreneurial soft skills and how to practically apply them in life. I know that the talks I give are beneficial thanks to fantastic feedback and follow up I receive post session.

One thing I would like my employer to consider is my dedication to practicing my faith. Al this means is that I would like to be able to complete my 5 prayers a day as a Muslim. In a practical sense, this means during the day, I will need 5 minutes once in the early afternoon and late afternoon to complete my prayer in a quiet space and come back to work.

I am confident but also the type of person to cringe and feel awkward about something I might have said, or not said or done from a while ago. It is what it is. I hope this gives you a bit of an insight into my character and qualifications. If given the chance to speak to you at an interview, I'm sure you won't regret it.
