About me

My name is Amanda Draga I am very passionate about fashion and am very eager to make my mark on the fashion industry. I am Australian, but currently living in London. I have completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Fashion Design), RMIT University, Diploma of Applied Science in Fashion Design, RMIT University and Technology and Certificate 3&4 in Clothing and Design, Youth Connect. Throughout my academic history, I have obtained high marks, won awards, participated in fashion runway shows and shoots and have been invited into the Golden Key.

My ample experience and exposure to the fashion industry will prove to be beneficial for your business and I assure you that I will be deemed an asset for your company. I have interned in various areas of the Fashion Industry including design, buying, fashion management, admin and retail. I also have had retail experience in the past for 5 years and 3 years Admin experience. Through these experiences I have gained great knowledge, understanding and a passion and hunger to work in the industry. My experience also boasts of organizing and participating in fashion runway shows and photo shoots by bringing together the necessary elements; models, clothes, accessories, venue and payments.

My design style is very commercial and eclectic. I have extensive folios in women's wear, men's wear, children's wear, swimwear and lingerie. I also offer a broad understanding of CAD/CAM including Photoshop, Illustrator and Lectra Pattern making.

I have a good understanding of the fashion industry, strive to be the best, eager to learn and further myself and have a very strong work ethic.

Sector Experience

Fashion Management, Undertaking work experience at Fashion Management has given me the opportunity to work in the fashion industry. It allowed me to see how different workplaces are organised and the responsibilities they undertake. Some of the tasks undertaken during this work experience include; customer service, working with designers, administrative work, filing and organising order forms., Melbourne Fashion Incubator, My role was to assist the designers when they needed help (this could include sewing, cutting patterns, finding materials ect.), working in the store, and constructing my own designs and creations to be sold in the store., PSS Clothing, As the company buys garments for a number of companies, some of my duties included writing spec sheets, drawing flat sketches of garments, checking measurements of garments and visiting the stock rooms.
