About me

I'm Amanda Chen, a published journalist with experience working at print and online publications in Toronto and New York. I've come to London to break into the advertising industry through a full-time creative copywriting position.

Working as the project manager for ICE Agency I was responsible for hiring a selection of models to promote lifestyle brands through a series of catwalk routines and photo shoots. I have experience casting models, scheduling auditions and conducting rehearsals.

As the editor for SceneCreek.com, Hollywoodlife.com and HeyDoYou.com I'm responsible for assigning stories and managing all online content. I have to maintain relationships with PR professionals and schedule interviews, meetings, travel dates and hotel bookings. I am very well-spoken with my experience conducting interviews both in person and on the phone through my exposure hosting video interviews on-site of local events.

Working as the brand manager for TOPSHOP Makeup, I was responsible for launching the product line in Canada. I built up a list of clients, held in-store beauty events, created sales targets and trained new employees.
