About me
This is the story of Allen Langham, a former professional rugby player who through it all away after following the path of drink, drugs and organised crime. Running from the trauma of his past, the broken legacy of his family and a cycle of destruction seemed to be his plight. The former criminal underworld member spent over 20 years in and out of prison before at the point of suicide following a dramatic encounter with Jesus in a prison cell in 2013 his life was dramatically and powerfully transformed. This is a story of redemption of the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ to change and transform and offer hope to the hopeless. Now a father to his three children, an award winner, a speaker and chaplain, Allen shares his message of hope with sheer determination and honesty, this story captivates even the hardest of hearts and no doubt evidence that the redeeming power of God is still at work today.
"I was a little, lost, hurting boy, trapped in an eighteen-stone, steroid-filled, violent man's body. I was broken... I was a mentally insane, chronically depressed, drug-addicted, drug-dealing failure. God... came into that cell and pulled me out of the darkness of shame, bitterness and pain. He poured his love into my heart. He healed my mind and set me free from the cycle of destruction, and equipped me to carry on with life... to be a father, to be respected, to live a normal life. To be a message of hope. I have many failings and I have got it wrong so many times, but if there is one thing I'm certain of, it is that God is real! He is alive and he loves you.
