About me

Hi my name is Alice Wilson, I am a surface pattern designer and illustrator who specialises in creating playful and fun designs; narrative and story telling is an instrumental part in my design practice.

As a massive child at heart I have a natural love for children's design as it allows a freedom to explore colour and creating silly characters. When I'm not drawing, painting or designing, I am probably exploring or camping which is where I find a lot of my inspiration for different textures and colours.

While studying Textile Design at Leeds Arts University I have most enjoyed having the chance to work with companies. Winning a brief set by Milliken carpets, receiving second prize in a girlswear brief from H&M and a commendation in Hallmark gifting showed how I can use a trend or a brief to use my skills to produce designs for different markets.

A huge passion of mine is producing designs which are quirky and aim to make people smile. I hope to one day use my designs to capture the imagination of even the oldest and biggest kids.
