About me
31st July 2012 Artworker/ Junior Designer role.
Dear Sir or Madam,
Since graduating from Goldsmiths University London having studied Design in 2011, I have started my career in the role of Stylist for the television program Hollyoaks.Although I enjoy the practical elements of the role I particularly embrace the creative elements and I would relish the opportunity to work as a Artworker at Apple Print and Creative and develop these skills.
My work has always been focused around my ability to successfully engage with people within a creative media including members of the public, other organisations and colleagues.
In my roles as Wardrobe at BBC and Stylist at Aubin and Wills, I was required to initiate concepts, communicate these ideas through image and then collaborate with other professionals to ensure the project was successfully completed to the high standards set and within a given time frame. To ensure this outcome I needed to make creative decisions quickly, ensuring I could communicate these ideas in a creative enthusiastic manner to people I was managing, and people I was collaborating with. I had to make sure I could follow through these creative decisions, consistently to the end of the project. At Hollyoaks, University and prior to that working as an Art Director for a magazine I have had the opportunity to work extensively with design which is something I have always found extremely enjoyable and rewarding.
I have found working within the design, fashion and costume industry in a creative environment to be both challenging and stimulating. I especially enjoy working within a team throughout the various processes involved in realising a concept from beginning to end.The exposure to magazine publication, brand communication, web design, budget restrictions and deadline-driven work has offered me an insight into the demands and requirements of this Artworker/ Junior Designer role. My interest and skills all lie within the sphere of design and this role would be a fantastic opportunity to allow me to progress and develop my chosen career.
Please let me know if I can provide any further material to support my application.
Kind regards,
Alice Bluer
