About me

Since graduating from Bristol University I have sort to explore all aspects of the fashion industry, working in a number of related areas including journalism, public relations, marketing, buying, styling, and most recently retailing.Currently I work for the fashion designer Joanne Hynes. Since February 2006 Joanne has been working out of the country so I have managed the business in London. I have dealt with buyers, sales agents, PR agencies, and manufacturers at home and abroad. I have organised and styled several fashion shows. In September 2006 I moved to Ireland where Joanne is based. This allowed me to work more closely with Joanne and open her retail outlet in Galway. My roles have ranged from designing and organising the shop fit, taking control of buying and managing the shop day to day. These responsibilities have been additional to my continued work with the clothing label. I have remained the sole point of contact for all buyers and inquiries. I quality control all garments delivered to the boutiques, and have increased my marketing and liaison skills with suppliers, manufactures and buyers. I have relished the single handed responsibilities over the last year. I have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy team work. I have an excellent visual memory. I am highly organised and enjoy multi-tasking take responsibility, understand deadlines and function proactively. I am energetic, enthusiastic and determined to learn.
