About me

I am a hardworking and capable individual. I am eager to learn and grasp new skills and concepts quickly. I am also used to working as part of a team and am good at meeting deadlines. I have a keen interest in the Media Industry, especially in Film and TV production, and am eager to get a job in this field. My strengths lie in post-production and I feel with the right training I would make a great editor one day. In the mean time I am keen to get into a working situation where I can learn the relevant skills that can't necessarily be taught in a classroom.I have good till experience and I am used to working with customers, especially in the service industry. I like working in a team and am good at using my own initiative.

I am also PC and MAC literate. I am proficient in Microsoft Office and an extremely confident user in Final Cut Pro. I used this throughout my education to edit all my work. I have edited a number of different types of films such as: music videos, physical theatre drama pieces and documentaries. I recently attended a Documentary-editing course run by the National Film and Television School. I thoroughly enjoyed this and learnt the necessary skills for editing my own observational documentary. I am equally confident in Adobe Photoshop and received an OCN award in it in 2005. I also have limited experience in Avid Xpress Pro, Adobe InDesign, Adobe After Effects and Flash. I am a particularly visual person and have a good eye for composition.
