About me
am a recent graduate of Loughborough University School of Art and Design. Having graduated with a first class degree in Fine Art Photography in July 2009 I have since been working as a Freelance Photographer, Art Director and Fashion Stylist.
In November 2009 I was awarded the Godrey Argent Prize and the ELLE Commission from the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize at the National Portrait Gallery, I proceeded to have work published in the Bristish Journal of Photography amongst other publications. In April 2010 I photographed soul singer Lauren Pritchard for the August edition of ELLE Magazine.
My practice is mainly Fashion and Portrait photography and I shoot using digital cameras, I come from a fine art background and have a creative approach to shooting. I have experience of Art Directing, and direct all my own photography. I enjoy controlling all aspects of the shoot and having creative input into idea's; locations and styling.
I have a passion for fashion and styling, and pride myself on my fashion knowledge and understanding of trend prediction, my knowledge has become more in depth since working a season at London Fashion Week. I have the ability to style clothing to a brief and using my own initiative and imagination. I have a strong creative vision.
I have seven years of experience in Fashion Retail as a visual merchandiser and sales advisor, I have strong communication skills and a professional attitude with a good work ethic. I am hardworking with drive to succeed, reliable and responsible, I always respond to tasks in a positive way and take on challenges and complete any job to the best of my ability whilst always meeting deadlines.
I am also currently in the process of setting up my own fashion label, directing a small business and designing the clothes for sale on my own fashion boutique online. I also purchase vintage wear from wholesalers and sell these items at Vintage Fairs around the country.
