ABOUT

Central Saint Martins wanted to set this idea of mine as a brand-sponsored student brief.
Each item in the "Versailles" range combines military design influences from at least three countries – making it neutral.
Influences can be from past, present or future, as long as they don’t represent military alliances.
Aggression-Free Military Fashion could take the form of:
- A global design competition
- Digital fashion: the design influences change nationalities every week
- Gaming skins that combine design influences from at least 3 different galactic uniforms
Please see folio for full campaign, including comms and launch poster concept outside to the National Army Museum.

Reviews for concept:
- Richard Denney, (ECD, St Lukes): ‘Game-changing’.
- Walter Campbell (Screenwriter on ‘Under the Skin’): ‘This is interesting - very direct - A core truth - very simple’.
- David Hieatt, (founder of Hiut Denim Co): ‘Looks great’.
- Chris Bovill, (ex-Executive Creative Director, 4Creative): ‘Lovely idea. Simple and powerful’.
- Sir John Hegarty, (founder Garage Soho): Asked companies at Garage Soho if they’d want to sponsor.
- Vicki Maguire, (Executive Creative Director, Havas): ‘Nice work’.
- Ben Walker, (ECD, Who What Why London): ‘Great idea’.
