About me

Dear Sir, Madam,

I come to you today because I am a VFX and MPC content lover, I would like to participate in the production of feature films, support in your innovation-driven company. Aware of the VFX pipeline and its challenges due to my market experience, I offer you my leadership, project management and database software skills as I feel my profile would suit your vision of show management.

Creative, sharp and enthusiast, I have recently graduated from two of the European Leading Business Schools, Smurfit Business School in Dublin (ranked 24th in Europe and 43rd in the world) in Digital Innovation Management and Toulouse Business School, in Management. My education traduces a strong interest for complex project management in digital environments and creative industries.

I would like to participate in the development of shows as a VFX Production Assistant, an opportunity for me to deploy my budgeting and managerial abilities in the VFX industry and learn a lot on big scale productions. Being an autonomous, resilient and rigorous person, I'm bilingual English-French.

I have 18 months of market experience in Umedia VFX as a VFX Coordinator, in Wavestone, a French consultancy leader as a Junior Consultant and in Bureau Veritas as a Junior IS Consultant, which helped me acquire a managerial posture, advanced analytical skills and a technical dexterity in data-related projects and their follow-up while dealing with multiple tasks.

I developed solid planning and leadership skills as a VFX Coordinator on various feature films (Seven Sisters, Overdrive, La Promesse de l'Aube: budgets from €20 to €24 million), managing information flux and teams to fluidize pipelines through Shotgun. I participated in the strategic planning, the daily definition of objectives, and operated a clear reporting to drive strategic decisions, being a pivotal actor, as part of the production and dealing with artist teams and international clients.

As a Junior Digital Transformation Consultant in Wavestone, I acquired strong problem solving skills while creating knowledge communities and evaluating the impact of technological trends on businesses (benchmark for technologies to integrate according to specific markets, drones, mobility solutions...). I also participated in the implementation of a solution for L'Oréal aiming to gather critical information of EMEA entities for GDPR according to user needs, driving the strategy, the KPIs, animating workshops, coordinating its development and building strong client presentations to communicate efficiently.

During my Digital Innovation Master, I developed a sophisticated vision of Information Technology, with the support of advanced business approaches, from technical to sociological perspectives of digital organisations, coupled with case studies and state-of-the-art analysis of knowledge and human management (e.g. Pixar and creativity management). This alternative vision I developed was challenged in technical projects led this year (e.g. app development, requirement gathering, bidding, roadmap) always emphasizing creativity and dealing with ambiguity.

I am looking for a challenging VFX environment where people can learn from each other's disciplines, and which is flexible enough to enable creativity and discussion towards the unexpected. I am looking for a place where team spirit is central, and where stakes are ubiquitous. This role embodies to me the perfect combination of intensity and responsibilities in an exciting setting. Feel free to contact me through mail or mobile phone if you find an interest in my profile.

Best Regards,

Alexandre Maillet
