About me
Dear Sirs,
I would like to be considered for this post and I enclose my CV for your consideration. The remainder of this letter gives you a little more information about me.
In 2016 I obtained a position on Graphic Designer with my current employer which has given me many new skills as well as strength ones I already possess. However it is my aim to progress as a Project Manager in the creative/advertising sectors. Ensuring this I completed and passed a Prince2 foundation course.
In 2015 I received the results of my BA Hons degree awarded by Birmingham City University. Before I obtained my degree I completed a BTEC in Art and Design then an HND in Graphic Design & Advertising. During these 5 years of study I supported myself financially from continuous part time employment with a major supermarket.
Whilst I have developed my artistic ability and achieved the technical skills that would be expected from a degree graduate, I feel that my project management, communication and client liaison skills are what place me apart. During my University course I successfully completed several live projects where interaction with the client was an integral part, in each case my relationship with the client was excellent and was met with complete satisfaction. In my 'Coffee Loft' project, acting upon my own initiative I successfully obtained the brief, managed the entire project, completed all the branding and organised the printer, sign-maker and web designer. As a result my designs are now in place and being used by the client.

I am proud of my design work, the prototype models and products that I have created and am focused on producing quality work that meets the clients requirements. I am experienced at working both within a team environment and individually in any social standing or atmosphere. I relate well with the client and consider myself a good communicator and listener. My ambition is to further improve my skills in project management and design by using my knowledge, education and people skills, the intention being to benefit my employer and myself.
Immediately after leaving secondary school I chose to fulfil my love of sailing and travel. I studied and became a qualified water sports instructor and then subsequently a qualified yacht captain. I was in paid employment within the yachting industry for over 2 years culminating in becoming First Officer on a super yacht. During this time I worked in Greece, North America, the Bahamas and Caribbean, this was an unmissable, wonderful time and I gained invaluable experiences. However after 2 years it was time to return to my studies and I had sufficient savings to support myself along with part-time employment.
