About me
I have spent the last five years learning everything I can about how to shoot, edit and turn around quality videos in an efficient and time effective manner. I chose to start my career self-employed, this meant I had to ensure that I could pay my bills every month, and though it was hard, it taught me a lot about work ethic, commitment and ensuring I kept a good reputation. In addition to working alone I am also very comfortable in a team environment, having spent almost the last 3 years working with professional production teams for both video company One Productions and the Royal College of Surgeons, taking on multiple roles and responsibilities in the process.
I am an accomplished shooter and editor with experience in corporate and industrial videos filming sports, food, theatre productions and plays, live music, musical showcases and music videos, online content including educational videos and web advertisements, along with fund raising/promotional videos. This vast experience in different forms of video productions means there is little that could surprise me in terms of expected content demands and outcomes.
I have been directly involved in large scale video projects particularly while working for both One Productions and RCSI. With the former, I edited recruitment and promotional projects for Aldi, Lidl, DHL and various other Irish brands. This taught me the importance of taking an idea from an agreed brief to delivering the customers vision in a high-pressure situation. Making sure that both the client and I are happy with the quality of the final product is essential.
While with RCSI, I have gained a massive amount of knowledge particularly pertaining to onscreen graphics and interactive video elements. We are currently producing a series of 24 interactive videos which heavily rely on graphics with very strict deadlines for feedback. All changes need to be implemented so videos can be signed off ready for the project launch. These launch dates are none negotiable so missing our deadlines are not an option.
