I am writing to you to apply for the position of Photo Editor.

I believe I would be an ideal candidate for this position as I have a lot of relevant experience, which I have gathered from my current and previous positions. I have recently finished working on cruise ships for a photography company based in Miami. I was an assistant manager and my position put me in charge of all the printing and environmental responsibilities

I controlled the quality of the prints, including colour correction, and I also did a lot of photo editing and manipulation. This includes removing glare from eyeglasses, opening eyes when people blinked and reducing unwanted shadows around necks and faces, also some cosmetic retouching, such as removing wrinkles from necks, and smoothing out faces. I work well to tight deadlines and under pressure.

My role onboard the ships was extremely varied, and needed exceptional organisational skills which I have mastered and I believe I would be an asset to your company.

Before I joined the cruise ships I worked for a company which printed and designed signs for vehicles and cars. I thoroughly enjoyed this position and believe I would be able to take the experience I gained from this position and excel with your company too. I designed graphics and made them print ready. I am skilled in the Adobe Creative Suites programs.
