Dear Sir/ Madame,

Currently I am Picture researcher at the Daily Telegraph Newspaper. I am working on developing the IPad edition as well as editing the photographs online. Unfortunately this is a temporary contract.

Before this I was Picture Editor and Photographer at City AM Newspaper in London. This was a great experience as I was in sole control of the picture desk.

This Position included coordinating the photographer, taking my own news images as well as researching for images, buying of images, editing images in photoshop, keeping to a budget, negotiating with libraries, page layout, and working with the art team to compile all the pictures for the newspaper to very tight deadlines, daily.
Before this I worked at Scope Beauty picture library as picture assistant.
I have also been lucky enough to work on the picture desk at YOU magazine, The Mail on Sunday's women's magazine, Ink Publishing (for inflight travel magazines) and Weekend Magazine for the Daily Mail.
All of these experiences have really fired my enthusiasm to work with Pictures. I am very keen to work on magazines. I enjoy working in a busy environment where I can use my organisational skills to help the desk run smoothly. I really enjoy working within a team and on my own. I have extensive experience in picture research so I think I have the relevant experience needed for working on your picture desk. I am keen to be in a varied and busy role which requires multi tasking and helping to organise as well as being active in research whilst maintaining quality and communicating with photographers.
