About me

Alex Ramsey crafts mesmerizing scripted and documentary-based projects that seamlessly blend surreal visual dreamscapes with the lived experience of non-actors in a vibrant hyperreality. Embarking on his creative journey in high school in Seattle, Alex delved into experimental filmmaking, paving the way for his trajectory through the renowned University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts in LA. After graduating, he moved to New York City and began directing his own creative projects. Building on a string of award-winning short films featured on Vimeo Staff Picks, Nowness and at Oscar-qualifying film festivals across the United States, Alex now channels his artistic vision into commercials and long-form narrative endeavors. Splitting his time between London and New York, he is currently in production on a multi-year feature documentary chronicling the journey of Tiler Peck, a luminary of the New York City Ballet, executive produced by Sarah Jessica Parker.
