About me
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am a young, enthusiastic and ambitious artist and am always seeking to develop my skills and techniques. I have a very keen interest in film and games but I also love immersing myself in the imaginative worlds of books.
I have recently been featured in the Fxposé section of Imagine FX magazine, issue 64. This has provided a reasonable amount of exposure for me as an artist and I have also gained some freelance work because of it.
My freelance work for Bartle Bogle Hegarty working on Robinsons Fruit Shoot taught me a lot about working in the art and media industry. The nature of the work itself was very simple, however, I feel that I learnt a lot about dealing with a client and working to a brief; this was further reinforced when I worked as a lead concept artist for amateur director Simon Hatt. Unfortunately, although the film was to be presented at a film festival, it all fell through.
My main inspiration comes from games, television and films, I love the freedom to create within an imagined world and my active imagination lends itself well to my ambitions of being a great concept artist.
Thank you,
Yours faithfully,
Alex Powell
