Personal Profile:

I consider myself to be pro-active, well organised, reliable and a commercially aware professional with a wealth of knowledge gained in numerous areas including Design, Artwork, Catalogues, Print, Marketing, Sales, NPD, Web Design, Mail Order, Packaging, Exhibition design, Point of Sale, Digital Photography and Senior Management in a range of company sizes.

Multi skilled with a great understanding of business in terms of profit and loss accounts, excellent man management skills and a true team player / leader, possessing the ability to motivate and influence others whilst also being a diligent and skillful worker. I have communicated effectively at all levels pitching and generating new business whilst also developing existing clients.

History:

With Client side and Agency management experience gained over the last 20 years, working with some of the largest UK Plc companies including Cadbury Schweppes plc, GET plc, Yale plc, Steinhoff plc (Harveys furniture) and Brintons carpets.

Proven management and leadership skills, able to delegate and prioritise workflow across a broad spectrum of media.

Experienced Design Manager responsible for all the Graphic design, Marketing material and studio creative output including New Product Development (N.P.D), design, artwork, brochures, print, packaging, photography, website & content management systems (CMS). I worked closely with our worldwide customers and suppliers, including overseas travel to Europe and the Far East to develop new packaging design solutions.
Apple Mac and Pc literate, with expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Studio CS3, Photoshop, InDesign, Quark Xpress, Illustrator, Freehand, Office (mac) and Pdf software IT skills. Experience maintaining, sourcing, purchasing and upgrading studio software / hardware including relevant staff training.

Excellent man management skills with proven experience supervising production, allocation of studio or 3rd party freelance workers including maintaining quality control and brand identity across both internal and outsourced jobs.

Possessing a pragmatic common sense approach to projects, able to work to tight schedules and budgets whilst identifying any shortfalls in studio efficiency by taking the required corrective action with either staff resources or through new technology.
