About me

I am a graduate seeking employment as a writer or editor. I have some experience in writing professionally but am looking for a position where I can develop my potential.

I have also been involved in writing in my spare time. Two of my friends and I have worked together over the past few years to form a company that writes and sells material for fantasy role-playing games, distributing them online as PDF files. I fulfil the role of editor in the company and in this position I have written three books for the company and have edited several external submissions. I have also been involved in handling much of the company's administration and was involved in writing the company's website.

During my employment as Editorial Assistant for Utopia Kitchen and Bathroom magazine I was involved in writing, editing and sourcing information for articles and learnt much about the editorial process. During this time, I developed my writing and editing skills as well as a range of office and IT abilities. I was in frequently contact with PR agencies, companies and other clients using the telephone, email and post and established a good working relationship with many of these people. I was chosen to represent the company as part of a team at the Grand Designs London show and on a press trip to Sweden.
