About me

Having gained a variety of experiences throughout the media I feel I'm well suited to a number of different roles. After three years working with Thomson Reuters as a Live Sports Picture Desk Editor, I spent two years as a Freelance Journalist/Sports Writer. I then spent five years as a Picture Editor/Researcher with Ericsson. Furthermore I've worked for The Daily Mirror sports desk and gained publishing experience with BOAT International magazine. I currently work as Head of Content for Somerton Sports Club.

These experiences have allowed me to gain vast knowledge in various areas of the media from Editorial Journalism and Online Production to Picture Editing, Image Sourcing, Publishing and Metadata, plus I have a genuine passion for the industry as a whole.

Specialties: Picture Desk and News Desk experience. Confident with writing, sourcing, researching and editing news articles/images, confident using Photoshop, InDesign, FotoStation, Photo Mechanic, FTP.

Strong with website management and online production. Experienced journalist writing articles, reports, previews, blogs and features. Strong with Microsoft Office, Excel and Word.

Also possess Publishing and Sales Experience (be it telephone or face to face), plus I have extensive office skills after years of working in fast paced environments and I'm confident working to deadlines.
