About me

I have graduated from Brighton University with a high 2:1, studying Product Design Technology, in the summer of 2010. Projects included:

-Traffic light systems, Go karts with motor bike engines, Furniture, gas sensors and counterweighted desk lamps.

I also have 10 months' experience of working at SKK Lighting in the following roles: R&D and engineering manager, lighting consultant, and designer with a particular focus on LED light sources.

I have also improved my own skills in other areas, such as finance, project management and design while working for myself. This involved designing and building a chandelier lighting rig for the filming of an advertisement, which would be shown in Terminal 5 and on the Internet. I also have experience with LED control systems, specifying and engineering.

As a result of my course, placement work and my private work, I have extended my skills, so that I am able to lead, or to work within a team, or alone, and to cope with a wide range of situations or problems.

I currently run my own Lighting consultant working with LED products. Current jobs include a 100% LED school and house. My work also involves design products, a current item in a collapsible cocktail bar to be launched in February.

My wide range of skills allows me to take on any design problem or brief with confidence knowing that i can draw on all my experience and knowledge to push the envelope.
