Alex's work

About Alex

I have just finished and graduated my course of Bsc Product Design with a First-Class Honours Degree at Bangor University. I am a keen and eager individual who is easy to talk to and will gladly discuss anything from Star Wars, Marvel to even business strategy and history. I am more of a listener and quick learner rather than someone who would act rashly or speak out of turn. And now I am on the hunt for a job!

My Course and University was based in North West Wales however I live near Colchester in Essex. I was wondering if there is any possible opportunity to work for Bosch with the Product Development Engineer job. I am fully aware of the potential number of candidates that will apply however I thank you for taking the time to read this letter.

My experiences include working at a Jewellers, Architecture firm and even Aviva Insurance for their Design departments. I believe it will greatly help me working for you for my experiences in different placements will help me quickly adapt and fully apply myself at Bosch. I am heavily competent in Solidworks CAD and I have a passion for problem solving.

Easily fitting into any team, I have been awarded all levels of Duke of Edinburgh Award from Bronze through to Diamond. DofE as well as my other achievements should demonstrate I am determined to fulfil my goals because I am willing to volunteer and push myself. I was fortunate to be awarded a senior peer guide award from Bangor University and the Babara McDowell prize for caring for others even under stress from Framlingham College, my previous school.

A better example would be my participation with my university's Enterprise by Design competition, where I led and motivated a group of multi-disciplined students to getting second place with a new product idea aimed at solving a problem with North Welsh tourism.
